Riddles
A Riddles is a statement . Question or phrase having a veiled meaning . It is a word Puzzle meant to be solved . Riddles can also be jokes that are a play on words . children enjoy asking riddles and trying to solve them.

e.g.

(1) What has a face and two hands but no arms or legs?

Ans. A clock.

(2) What gets wetter and wetter as it dries ?

Ans. A towel.

Sample Question 

Q. Choose the correct answer to the given riddle :

1. Feed me, and I live and thrive.

Give me a drink of water, and I die.

What am I?

(1) Bird     (2) Lion     (3) Air     (4) Fire

Explanation : You feed a fire with wood, coal, etc. and it becomes You put water on it and it dies out. Hence Option (4) is the answer

2. There are a few books on a bookshelf. A black book is 4th from the

right and 6th from the left. How many books are there on the shelf?

(1) 4    (2) 6    (3) 9     (4) 10   

Explanation : The following diagram will explain the answer. IIIII|III. Hence option (3) is the answer.
